A business viewpoint article, authored by Greg Conder, was recently published in the Tulsa World. For the full article, please click here
The article discusses four organization types and how they resist or embrace change and innovation.
- Large businesses – their comfort with their current market position along with very bureaucratic processes can stymy innovation.
- Taxpayer-supported organizations – they are much like large businesses, plus they don’t have the possibility of profit to motivate innovation.
- Startup businesses and entrepreneurs – they are passionate about change and innovation. However, about half of startup businesses do not last five years.
- Established small businesses – their level of innovation effort often depends on the generation of the current ownership.
